1953 marked the end for Fawcett Comics. A decline in the comic book market and their ongoing court case with National Publications over the similarities between Captain Marvel and Superman led them to cease publication of their comics. Fawcett Publications remained active in the publishing business, selling other magazines and periodicals but no longer any comic book.
