Battle for Metropolis: Lex Luthor declares war against Project Cadmus for attacks against his life. As a result, the Underworlders rise from the sewers and begin attacking the citizens of Metropolis en masse. They blame Cadmus for the degenerative disease that is slowly killing them. Lois Lane finds incriminating evidence against Lex Luthor for the attempted murder of Karate instructor Sasha Green. She also finds a map linking Luthor to planned surgical strikes against the city of Metropolis. Superman: Man of Steel #34 6.94
Rogue scientist Dabney Donovan assassinate Project Cadmus director Paul Westfield for attempting to destroy his Underworlders. Superman v.2 #90 6.94
Battle for Metropolis: Lex Luthor detonates several strategically placed bombs throughout Metropolis. Superman v.2 #90 6.94
Battle for Metropolis: The directors of Project Cadmus determine that Guardian's blood holds the key to curing the clone plague. Luthor learns of this and sends his Team Luthor squadron to procure it. During the fight, the Project Cadmus lab is destroyed. Adventures of Superman #513 6.94
Fall of Metropolis: Lex Luthor, realizing that he is dying, decides to take Metropolis down with him. At the last minute however, he changes his mind and decides to forego launching a stockpile of ultrasonic missiles at the city. Assistant Sydney Happersen refuses to see Lex give up and launches the missiles. The LexCorp Tower, the GBS building and the Daily Planet globe are destroyed. Superman, Superboy and Supergirl stop as many missiles as they can, but most of the city now lies in ruins. Action Comics #700 6.94
