Synopsis for "The Menace of the Cosmic Man"
In the European country of Borika suddenly is visited by a super-being similar to Superman calling himself Cosmic Man. After he saves a train from a bolder, he makes headline news that reaches a far as the United States. When Perry White hears of the story, he sends Clark Kent and Lois Lane to cover the story for the Daily Planet. However, unknown to everyone, Cosmic Man is really a robot created by the leader of a rebel army that is plotting to assassinate the ruler of Borika. However, due to a steel shortage in the country, Captain Malvio was forced to make his Cosmic Man out of tin and other lesser metals and that all his intended super-feats would have to be well executed frauds, in order to lull the public into a false state of trust so that Cosmic Man can carry out his intended mission.
When Lois Lane and Clark Kent arrive in Borika they witness Cosmic Man stop a rogue rocket, however Clark discovers with his x-ray vision that the "rocket" is really a blimp and soon at a press conference, learns that Cosmic Man is really a robot. The rest of the press believe it when Cosmic Man tells them a story that he came from the planet Yrox and was forced to flee his planet from invaders, landing on Earth, he witnessed Superman in action and was shocked to find that he too had gained similar super-powers from being on Earth, and decided to become the defender of Borika since the United States already had a defender in Superman. After the press conference, Lois Lane has herself photographed kissing Cosmic Man in the hopes that it makes Superman jealous.
After another series of hoax super-feats, Cosmic Man is once more interviewed by Lois Lane, with Superman's secret intervention Cosmic Man's true nature is revealed to Lois. When Captain Malvio learns the truth, he sends his men after Lois Lane and capture her. Learning that Cosmic Man has a bomb and intends to blow himself up when he meets the president of Borika, Superman goes after Lois first, easily defeating Malvio's army and capturing the would-be conqueror himself. He then rushes to save the ruler of Borika, tossing Cosmic Man high into the sky where he explodes harmlessly. In thanks, the ruler of Borika awards Superman with a statue of the Man of Steel in thanks.

Synopsis for "Supergirl's Farewell to Earth!"
After secretly saving a pair of children from a falling tree, Supergirl spots Krypto flying by and introduces herself to the super-dog. The two then frolic and play in secret until they are spotted by Superman. Upset that she revealed her existence to even Krypto, Superman decides that Supergirl has broken their pact and tells her that he is exiling her from the Earth. Fashioning a crude ship, Superman tosses her out into space where she lands on a savage planet where she has to build her own home and live off the land.
Missing the planet Earth, she decides to watch it from afar with her x-ray vision, where she witnesses a forest fire. She tosses huge icicles from her planet to Earth where they melt and douse the flames. Given a note from Superman by Krypto, explaining that a deadly Kryptonite cloud is coming to her planet, the note explains that he will allow her to return to Earth as Linda Lee for 24 hours until the danger passes and she has to resume her exile.
In order to explain her disappearance as Linda Lee, Supergirl tells a tale of how she got lost in the woods and found her way back home. When reporters show up to record the story, one in particular has a keen interest in Linda: Clark Kent. When Kent notices that she has no insect bites on her arms, and demands her to reveal herself to be a Supergirl, a fact that Linda does not deny. Disappointed that Linda would so easily give up her identity, Clark is surprised when she explains that she knows he's Superman. Supergirl explains that when Clark grabbed for her arm, she attempted to use her x-ray vision to cloud the glasses to give the illusion of insect bites, however when it had no effect on Clark's glasses (having been made from the glass windscreen of his Kryptonian vessel that brought him to Earth) she deduced his identity.
With all said, the two Kryptonians fly up into the sky in secret, where they meet up with Krypto. Superman reveals that the whole chain of events was a test to see how well Supergirl could protect her secret identity. Convinced that she past the test, Superman allows her to resume her civilian identity and operate in secret as Supergirl until the time is right to reveal her to the world.
