Notes

  • Superman Secret Files and Origins 2005 confirms that events paralleling those in "Make Me A Super-Hero!" had occurred also in the New Earth universe, with necessary revisions of the details for Post-Crisis canonicity.
  • Morgan Edge tells Clark Kent that Clark objected when Edge first assigned him from the Daily Planet to duties as a TV-newsman on WGBS-TV. However, it was not this Morgan Edge, but the Evil Factory's clone of him who originally made that decision. However, since Jimmy Olsen filled Edge in on the details of his clone's business management decisions in his absence, and also given that Superman suggested to Jimmy and Edge that they should keep under wraps that Edge had been impersonated by an evil clone, this can be justified as a white lie perpetuated by Edge to avoid revealing information of what happened in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #152. Also, it can be assumed given that Edge and his clone shared the same basic personality traits that the real Morgan Edge would have made the same decision himself anyway, especially considering how Clark was not transferred back to the Planet after the real Morgan Edge resumed control of his life from the clone.
  • Clark Kent is promoted by Morgan Edge to associate producer of all WGBS programming, in a bid to retain the edge that GBS has over UBC and guarantee increased employee loyalty to the company.
  • Lola Barnett is mentioned as having abandoned WGBS for WUBC alongside 2 other former WGBS newscasters and appears in this issue as a WUBC newswoman.
  • Green Arrow and Black Canary would leave Action Comics after this issue. They would next be found in World's Finest #244 one year from now.
