Synopsis for Superman: "Police Blotter"

Ambush Bug has returned to Metropolis and opened his own super-hero for hire detective agency, this attracts Clark Kent to the office to do a report for WGBS News. Ambush Bug however sees through Clark's civilian identity and manages to reveal that Clark is really Superman. Shocked that Ambush Bug was this perceptive, the Man of Steel flees the scene.

Later, Superman has a dream about Ambush Bug's origins: About how he was a man named Irwin Schwab, who after living life as a couch potato decided to learn all he could from books after his television finally broke down. Shaving his head he would create the technology needed to become Ambush Bug. Superman wakes up, realizing it was all a dream and tires his hardest to get Ambush Bug out of his mind, with little success.

The next day Ambush Bug goes out to serve out his own bizarre sense of justice, turning over a car to the police when it's meter runs out. He later makes an appearance in Clark Kent's office and makes a mess of the place with a samurai sword. In spite of Superman's protests that he may hurt himself, Ambush Bug tells Clark that he can't kill himself because the writer of the story won't let him.
