Adrian Chase was the hero Vigilante. A district attorney and later judge in New York City, he lost his wife and children to mafia violence. It turned him into a violent underworld avenger, primarily working against Boss Anthony Scarapelli. He spiraled further and further into lawlessness and vigilantism, and after several failed attempts to quit took his own life.
Adrian Chase was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, first appearing in New Teen Titans #23 (1982).
