Synopsis for Green Arrow: "Archers Without Arrows"

The Gremlin Gang, a theft ring that utilizes sabotage to sow confusion during which they perform robberies, strike at Star City. In addition to causing black outs and floods, they also cause the Green Arrow and Speedy to give up their use of archery by making it appear that Green Arrow twice accidentally hit and killed a bystander with an errant arrow, first by stabbing the corpse of a heart attack victim with an arrow, then by reusing an arrow to murder one of their own members who'd been preparing an act of sabotage disguised as a common carpenter. At first, the ace archers try to continue simply by improving upon their hand-to-hand combat skills, but Green Arrow later investigates the composition of sawdust found on his second "victim's" body, discovering it to be of the kind used as filler inside sticks of dynamite like the Gremlin Gang had been using. Thus, when challenged to a duel with Sam Arnold, the brother of the heart attack victim, Green Arrow appears not unarmed as expected, but with a miniature bow and arrow set that he uses to disable his opponent, who proves to be the Gremlins' leader in disguise. With the criminals' subterfuge exposed and their good names restored, Green Arrow and Speedy rebuild their trick arrow arsenal.
