Synopsis for "The Floating Doom"

A gang of seagoing crooks masquerade as scientists distributing what look like mines, but what they claim are actually scientific instruments encased in plastic, meant for measuring ocean tides. Aquaman is initially persuaded to help them and see them on their way, which allows the crooks to seed the ocean with real mines, in hopes of wrecking a bullion-carrying ship. But a piece of metal sticking to one of the “plastic” mines tips off Aquaman, and he is able to quash the operation.

Synopsis for "The Perils of the Polka-Dot Archer"

A stage clown, the Polka-Dot Archer, has an act in which he pokes fun at Green Arrow with comedic arrows. Unfortunately, he believes Green Arrow is really a “phony” and a show-off. Then, after witnessing a crime, the Archer himself has to be guarded by Green Arrow and Speedy from assassination attempts before he can testify at a trial. At first, the Polka-Dot Archer’s opinion of the ace archers does not change. But, when they rescue him from an impostor who abducts him, the Green Arrow and Speedy are gratified to find out later that the Archer has changed his act to thank the heroic archers after every performance.
