Synopsis for Green Arrow: "The Green Arrow's Last Stand"

Oliver Queen and Roy Harper are on vacation in the West when they hear a report about a group of scientists that have gone missing near Crow Mountain. The two men change into their alternate identities as Green Arrow and Speedy and fly off in their Arrowplane in search of the missing men. They arrive at the mountain site and spot an abandoned car. They use their radio to communicate with the stranded men but they have no place to and the plane on the rough terrain. Green Arrow then hangs from the wing of the plane and successfully uses his acrobatic skills to catch each of the scientists and bring them aboard the flying plane. The Arrowplane soon develops engine problems and they are forced to land in a nearby valley. They are soon attacked by a large group of Sioux Indians who turn out to be descendants of a lost 1880 tribe that went missing. The Indians attack but they are soon dispersed by trick arrows used by the two heroes. The Indians regroup back at their village. They are led by an evil Chief and a medicine man by the name of Big Turtle. The two leaders keep their men in check by repeating the fact that the Indian wars are still in progress and they must fight to save themselves from the White man. The chief knows that if they discover the truth, his people would want to venture out into the world and he would no longer have any power over them. He devises a plan whereby he would acknowledge that Green Arrow is the greatest bowman. He also adds the fact that the greatest bowman is said to be able to fire arrows at the full moon and cause thunder to roar across the skies as rain falls down to the ground. Green Arrow and Speedy are suspicious of the chiefs expectations but they come up with a plan to deceive the Indians. Green Arrow fires an arrow at the moon which appears to be full even though it should only be a quarter moon. A few moments later they hear a loud boom and rain starts falling from the sky. The Indians disperse as Green Arrow threatens to tell them about the real situation in the outside world. Green Arrow and Speedy then discuss how they used a rocket arrow to release a balloon into the sky resembling a full moon. They also used a dry ice arrow to sprinkle bits of ice amongst the clouds causing it to rain. The men fly off in their repaired arrow plane as they observe the Sioux Indians leaving the valley towards civilization
