Whenever the crooks pull off a heist and Green Arrow and Speedy show up to try and stop them, they find that their arrows suddenly shoot upwards into the air.

However, the two heroes eventually figure out what is going on, and use other means to try to trip up the crooks, however their biggest stroke of luck is when it starts to rain, washing away the chemicals on the crooks' getaway car that was reacting with the chemicals on their arrows.
