Synopsis for "Suspicion"

It's graduation day for Linda Danvers. Before the ceremony Supergirl is supposed to speak to the graduating class, but the commencement is broken up by rioting student radicals. Since she will never get to make her speech now, Supergirl sneaks out, change to her Linda Danvers identity and returns. Unfortonuately Nasthalthia Luthor sees Supergirl go into Linda Danvers's room and Linda come out, and figures out the truth. And she is resolved to tail her until she can prove it to herself -- and to Lex Luthor.

Since the riot is ongoing, Linda and her parents walk away from Stanhope College. After a celebratory meal, Linda says goodbye to her parents and friends and takes a flight to Metropolis. With some help from her cousin Clark Kent, Linda gets a job on the news crew of KSF-TV in San Francisco as a junior photographer.

Unfortunately, Nasty eavesdrops on her phone conversation with Clark, and gets herself a job with the same news crew.

For several weeks Nasty sticks closely to Linda, who has figured Nasty looks to expose her. Finally, when the news crew goes to cover a burning building, Linda manages to get rid of Nasty, suits up and dashes into the building to save some people. Before coming out of the building she dresses as Linda Danvers, fakes being overcome by smoke, and lets herself be "rescued" by emergency personnel in order to throw Nasty's suspicion off.

Though she has now another problem: she has to escape before her powers return and betray her secret identity by healing her instantly. But she can not break the straps securing her to the stretcher and get out of there until her super-strength comes back.
