Synopsis for Legion of Super-Heroes: "Playing Hooky II

In the 31st Century, Chameleon Boy sneak Shrinking Violet and Invisible Kid into Zaryan's robot transport over Planet Rimbor. They hoped to remain hidden but Invisible Kid accidentally activates the robots; which use Radar-Location and could see the Kid. Chameleon Boy takes point as a huge tentacled creature, and smashes the robots while Shrinking Violet pulls out their plugs. Robots defeated; they hunt Zaryan.

In 20th Century Smallville, Brainiac 5 leads the remaining Legionnaires out of the Time Bubble. They are required to remain with Superboy for the next 14.4 hours, according to Brainiac. First they weather a storm, though the tornado makes Saturn Girl queasy. In disguise, the Legion participate in a barn raising on the Kent Farm where Cosmic Boy and Brainiac 5 note how primitive it is. After some clumsy work on their part, Martha's apple pie is enjoyed by all.

Back in the future, the Legionnaires assault the control room and attempt to arrest Zaryan, but he fights through Chameleon Boy and evades Invisible Kid, then flees in a shuttle. He escaped again, and vows to take the battle to Earth.

As the rest of the Legion stargaze back in the 20th Century, a flaming meteorite demolishes the Kent barn that they had just built. Their purpose in Smallville is now revealed -- the meteorite contains Brainiac-0 and he has homed in on the Kryptonian Rocket, which the cold machine now cradles in its arms.

Brainiac-0 is stronger than any of the Legion members; except Brainiac 5; whose future tech easily deactivates his distant predecessor. Unbeknownst to the team; Brainiac 5 originally altered their mission to recruit Superboy and not Superman. Being in Smallville on this particular day was a ploy to delay Brainiac-0's arrival on Earth until Superboy had become a Superman.

Synopsis for The Atom: "Nucleus part 4, Colonized"

The Atom is vastly outnumbered, and his retreat blocked by a computer firewall. Before the numerous Colony agents could take him, his Uncle David teleports him away. David had been part of the Colony -- originally a C.I.A. operation -- which gathered the smartest minds to win the cold war. When the Berlin Wall fell, the operation went private, and the Colony became focused on human survival.

David Palmer had always watched Ray, and knew that he was destined for greatness; but had not contacted him, in order to protect him from the Colony. Now the Colony -- and David -- needed Ray Palmer's shrinking tech to teleport into the Ant Farm. It is a microscopic, indestructible globe that holds a pristine world inside; and Ray and David shrink and teleport into it; but Colony agents anticipated this, and follow them into the Ant Farm, with swords and jitte drawn.

The Atom finds himself, once again, in a pristine wilderness drawing a miniturized sword from his Bio-Belt.
