"Legion of Super-Heroes: "The Summons of the Ring"": Dyogene came from the dead soil of Oa to find a being worthy of the last Green Lantern Ring. There was a third calamity coming, and Dyogene would prevent it.

Quote1 I've lived long enough that I know I don't understand "forever." But whatever "forever" means, I hope yours is happily ever after. And I know our paths will cross again, somehow. Because no matter what the ring needs me for, the Legion's the closest I've ever had to a home and family. Quote2

Synopsis for Legion of Super-Heroes: "The Summons of the Ring"

Dyogene came from the dead soil of Oa to find a being worthy of the last Green Lantern Ring. There was a third calamity coming, and Dyogene would prevent it.

Earth Man angrily turns the ring down. Again. Dyogene floats past Shadow Lass into Legion of Super-Heroes Headquarters and in the memorial room, the little blue Oan spirit takes stock of Legionnaires living and dead. Cosmic Boy is angered by the intrusion, and then disappointed that he was not worthy of the Ring. Neither was Element Lad, Colossal Boy, Phantom Girl, Quislet, nor Shadow Lass.

Dyogene notes that Sodam Yat will not be the last Daxamite to bare the Ring, and chooses Mon-El. Mon-El is garbed in the colours of the G.L.C. and leaves with Dyogene to stop the coming calamity.

On Earth, something stirs in the Olduvai Gorge and touches off an earthquake that devastates Kampala. The Legion is there to provide aid. Element Boy and Tellus stabilize a mosque; and save trapped students.

Dawnstar and Wildfire track the fissures back to Olduvai; where archeologists had disturbed something ancient, and paid for it with their lives. Dawnstar tracks the being through space, until it turns and smites them from millions of miles away. Dawnstar drifts, unconscious and injured, while Wildfire's anti-matter escapes his containment suit and floats insensate. All they could rely on was the signal that his damaged suit sends to the Legion.

Synopsis for The Atom: "Nucleus, Part 6: Weapon of Mass Destruction"

Before The Atom could swing his sword at the insect nano-drones, his Uncle David deactivates them. The drones are the caretakers of the Ant Farm, and moreover, their parts were compatible Ray's technology. The Atom gatheres enough material to make his broken Bio-Belt perform one more time; and they exit the tiny world; landing back in the midst of the Colony black ops team.

Ray focuses on escape, but David's stubborn attempt to leave with the Ant Farm leads to their capture. A Colony scientist demands the White Dwarf Matter, and gives Ray Palmer little choice. On-screen, a Colony agent stands at his father's hospital bedside with a gun. It was the White Dwarf Matter or Jack Palmer's life.
