Synopsis for Starman: "The Tune of Terrific Toby"

Timid Toby Weems fakes a bomb scare at his office to make people respect him, and his fake heroic deed soon has people all over the city singing his praises, but his conscience gets the best of him (especially after his display caused a coworker to be blamed and arrested). He can't go on letting people think he's a hero unless he does something genuinely heroic, and decides to go out and get into trouble in the hopes Starman will show up and help him out in that regard. The criminals he tries to interact with stop what they're doing when they see the great hero Toby Weems, however, but on his second try the scheme ends up working out anyway because Starman was already flying after the fleeing felons.

Starman agrees, but insists they get Armstrong, Toby's arrested coworker, out of jail since he was wrongly fingered. While taking them both back to Toby's apartments, though, they find the notorious "Soup-Gang" already there waiting for them, and in the brawl they manage to get in a lucky blow and floor Starman. The head of the gang's informed the crooks of the truth about Toby and blackmails him into letting them into his office that night. Managing to escape from the closet and recover his Gravity Rod, Starman flies to the office and beats up the "Soup-Gang", but Toby finally finds his nerve as their boss shows up, and tackles him. Starman unmasks the boss as the arrested coworker, having deduced that he was the only person who could've known about Toby perpetrating a hoax, and then gone on to inform the "Soup-Gang" about it if he was the boss.
