Synopsis for "The Bottled City of Metropolis"

With helping people and bring criminals to justice, Superman feels satified with his life. But Superman is stalked by a mysterious stranger but does not even know his own name. The stalker laments feeling ordinary because of Superman's power. He even came to deliver a message to Superman, but does not remember what the message is about. In that moment, a fleet of alien warships arrives to threaten Earth and Superman attempts to stop them, but cannot penetrate the alien shields. Just as he is about to give up, the stranger inspire Superman to keep fighting, saying that his strength comes from the people he protects. Superman slams through the shields and is about to confront the alien threat, but everything is surrounded by the darkness. Then, it is revealed that all the events happened in some sort of virtual reality and Superman is not Superman at all: he is Eli Carter, the world's foremost authority on Superman. This is the year 2138 and Carter was testing a new virtual reality attraction for a Superman amusement park. However, the virtual reality systems went through a malfunction. Eli decides to test the attraction again.

Synopsis for "Slow News Day"

It is a quiet day at the Daily Planet. Clark enjoys the quiet but Lois wants more action. Then, Perry comes to deliver a scoop about a dog show, Lois does not want but Clark takes it. Clark and Lois make a bet: the one with the best story gets the byline. Lois quickly takes a taxi, but Clark has to attend to zoo riot as Superman. Then, Superman puts out a fire on a building, stops the Toyman's attack. After saving the world repeatedly through the day, Superman arrives at the dog show but has to travel to the future. As soon as he returns to the present, Clark writes his story and delivers it to Perry, who says that Lois has already published her story and it will be on the front page. Lois tells Clark that their work is more important than a bet.

Synopsis for "Best Intent"

Superman meets the Grey Guardian, a member of the Time Corps, who needs his help in finding a child who could become the most dangerous murderer in the universe. Superman and the Grey Guardian, with the help of scientist Kerry Quinn, save the child from Babul, an alien pirate who wanted to raise the child as his own in order to conquer the universe. The Grey Guardian reveals the child is actually his past self. Feeling regret for his crimes, the Grey Guardian travelled to the past to find the one person who could stop him from becoming evil: Superman, his adoptive father. To ensure the child can become a force for good, Kerry modifies a space capsule to send the child to a distant era. With his life changed, the Grey Guardian ceases to exist. The child lands on a distant planet, where a kindly couple raise him as their own.
