Several years ago, the New God known as Lonar traveled to Alaska searching for humans who held an aspect of the Anti-Life Equation. He found such a receptacle in an Eskimo named Nomek. [1]
Mount Michelson, Alaska was where the "space angel" Azrael crash landed while journeying to Earth. The ship stayed buried under ice and snow for a period of time until a team from S.T.A.R. Labs unearthed it. They used technology pioneered by scientist Elinore Stone to awaken Azrael.
More recently, an extraterrestrail robotic Yeti of unknown origin began terrorizing the fishing village of Shishmaref. The robot was defeated by the Flash and Superman.[2]
