Synopsis for Green Lantern: "The Harlequin"

Radio sponsor JQ Lentil pitches an idea for a show to promote his chain of department stores. The first show is to be titled Green Lantern vs the Harlequin. Secretary Molly Mayne assumes the role of the villainess Harlequin for the show, but engages in a real life crime spree. She hopes to capture the attention of the Green Lantern in hopes of developing a romance with him. She recruits a band of henchmen with the help of reflective spectacles but her plans are broken up by the arrival of Green Lantern himself. The Harlequin shows her caring for the Lantern and prevents him from coming into harm when he is captured by her gang. The Harlequin learns that her gang has planted a bomb at Lentil's department store in preparation for a robbery. She tries to stop them but her gang turns on her and seemingly captures her in a sack. As they are disposing her body, they find that she has switched places with the Lantern. The Green Lantern subdues the gang and rescues the patrons of Lentil's department store before an explosion destroys the building. As the story ends, Molly Mayne is asking Alan Scott if he thinks that the Harlequin was a match for Green Lantern. Alan looks at her suspiciously and ponders the meaning of her question.
