  • "P.O.V. -- A Fable" shows the Internment of Japanese Americans, which was never mentioned in a story written during the Golden Age. However, it is not the first time that these camps are shown in a retcon in later Ages. The character Tsunami voluntarily asked to be arrested at one of these facilities when his family was trapped there.[1]
  • "The Way of the Amazon" can only have happened between 1942, when Liberty Belle acquired her sonic powers, and 1945, the end of World War II.
  • "Thunderstruck": This is the authentic Thor, not a pretender as Fairy Tales Fenton; Dr. Fate refers to Spear of Destiny preventing the heroes of invade Berlin, see Spear of Destiny for more details; Dr. Fate would be wearing his half-helmet in this point of time, the Helmet of Nabu was banished to other dimension alongside Kulak before June[2].
  • "The Ropes" was reprinted in Starman Omnibus Vol. 5. This is the only story in this issue set in present.

Trivia

  • Kali Gari had her name obviously inspired by the 1920 German expressionist film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. This is also a reference about the dark goddess Kali.
