Notes

  • Reprinted in Crisis on Infinite Earths Companion: Deluxe Edition Vol. 1.
  • Shanghaied into Hyperspace is adapted from (but not reprinted from) All-Star Comics #13.
  • With the power of his ring being depleted after 24-hours, Green Lantern asks Captain Marvel to take him to China, where, if no one created a magic lantern in that dimension, the green meteor from which he formed his ring (and lantern) would still be intact. Marvel replies, saying that "sure can... unless You mean the Japanese-held part. Can't go there without falling under Axis control". It confirms that 1) There is also a Starheart on Earth-S, probably a fragment of the original; 2) There is a magical sphere of influence in Axis-controlled countries in Earth-S, as in Earth-Two.
  • On page 16, the text implies that Captain Marvel never had used the Rock of Eternity as a method of dimension/time travel in this point of time, then Johnny Quick, Liberty and Green Lantern were the first persons to do it.
  • Captain Marvel confirms the existence on Earth-S of New York City but says that he has never heard Metropolis or Gotham City.

Trivia

  • Johnny Quick listens to Captain Midnight's radio show.
  • A Fawcett City mini pennant can be seen on the bedroom wall in Billy Batson's apartment.
