Synopsis for "The Last Full Measure of Devotion"
In Washington D.C., a father takes his son to see the Lincoln Memorial. Without warning, an army of Amazon warriors appears in the National Mall and approaches the steps. One of the Amazons attacks the man, cutting his head off with her sword.
One group of Amazons invades the White House. They kill two secret service men and storm the oval office. Black Lightning arrives and saves the life of President Jonathan Horne.
At the Smithsonian, Queen Hippolyta surveys the invasion. She consults with the sorceress, Circe. Hippolyta will do anything for the sake of her daughter, Diana. Hippolyta then leads another charge on Washington. They destroy the capital building and vandalize the Lincoln memorial.
At the Department of Metahuman Affairs, someone apprehends Sarge Steel and takes his position as deputy administrator. The faux Steel consults with Batman on a monitor screen. Batman tells Steel that the Justice League is on its way.
Diana finally emerges and confronts her mother on the steps of the memorial.
