American Splendor is a four-issue limited series published under DC's Vertigo imprint from November of 2006 to April of 2007. American Splendor was originally an independent autobiographical comic series published by creator Harvey Pekar, who later brought the series to Dark Horse Comics in 1994 and finally to DC Comics. American Splendor was adapted into a film in 2003 starring Paul Giamatti.
