Tio Amparo is La Dama, the leading underworld figure in El Paso, and an enemy of Blue Beetle.

History

To the common people, La Dama was nothing but an urban legend. A big bad American and Mexican cops could blame if something went wrong. But to the ones that crossed her, she was very real.

La Dama was the aunt of Jaime Reyes' friend Brenda. The Blue Beetle and La Dama knew each others' secret identities though Brenda, who was at first unaware that her aunt was a crime lord. She later discovered her aunt's profession due to her dealings with the Blue Beetle. This caused a rift between aunt and niece.
