Synopsis for "The Trench: Part Two"

Continuing from last issue, the Trench attack the fishing boat and massacre everyone onboard. Then, they look to the coast and realize there are more humans nearby. They use the ship to go to the coast.

Meanwhile, in their home, Arthur and Mera are viewing some of pictures of Arthur's childhood. Suddenly, they come across a picture of Arthur, his father and a man Arthur dislikes. Suddenly, a police officer named Wilson comes to their house and asks for their help. The officer tells Arthur and Mera that monsters kidnapped everyone in the coast of Beachrock last night.

Wilson takes Aquaman and Mera to the crime scene, which is crowded by the Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy. Aquaman uses his telepathy to look for any lifeform in the shore, but there is nothing. Suddenly, some scuba-divers find some kind of cocoon. Aquaman senses something alive in a nearby boat and tells everyone to stand back while he and Mera prepare to fight. Then, a group of Trench appear and attack Aquaman and Mera. Using her hydrokinesis, Mera prevents the Trench from reaching the civillians while Aquaman attacks them with his trident. However, Aquaman is breifly incapacitated by a Trench, who knocks the trident off him and proclaims that the "food" (Aqaman) will be taken to the Trench.
