Ariadne is a figure in Greek mythology. Her father is Minos, King of Crete, and her mother is the queen Pasiphae. Minos put her in charge of guarding the labyrinth where he kept his minotaur. She fell in love with Theseus and helped him defeat the minotaur, then became his wife. This has put her at odds with some of Theseus' other wives, including Antiope. As such, she is an enemy to all Amazons.
