Notes

The flashbacks of this episode conclude the storyline of Oliver's five years of Hell and come full circle with the events of "Pilot".
Evelyn Sharp was never seen again after this episode but it is implied that she died because of the explosions in the epilogue.

Trivia

The episode opens with Oliver saying "The name of the island they found me on is Lian Yu. It's Mandarin, for Purgatory" which also are the first lines of "Pilot".
Adrian Chase kills himself by shooting himself with a gun like his Pre-Flashpoint counterpart did (albeit with different motivations) in Vigilante #50.
- It also mirrors the death of Robert Queen from the flashbacks of "Pilot".
Malcolm Merlyn dying to save his daughter, Thea, also mirrors Robert Queen sacrificing himself to save his son, Oliver.
