Synopsis for "Illusions for Sale!"
When Jean Loring and Ray Palmer are going to visit Ray's colleague Dr. Thayer, they have conflicting perceptions of the state of Thayer's property. When they get to Thayer's door they are greeted by crooks who are testing out Thayer's device that creates illusions to use for robberies.
With Ray and Jean having confirmed that the device works, they lock them up in separate closets. Ray changes into the Atom and rounds up the crooks and turns them over to the authorities before changing back to Ray Palmer and freeing Jean and Thayer.

Synopsis for "The Super-Safecracker Who Defied the Law!"
A criminal calling himself called the Hyper-Thief has been staging a series of daring robberies in which they leave no trace evidence behind them. The Hyper-Thief taunts the police by telling them that he uses a hyper-space device to transport items to his hideout.
When the Atom is called in to investigate, it seemingly turns out to be true when items in a safe disappear when the Atom is busy stopping another crook trying to steal it the old fashioned way. After some investigating the situation as Ray Palmer, with his lab assistant Enrichetta Negrini begin searching for the energy wavelength of the supposed hyper-space transmissions.
As the Atom, Ray travels through the signal to the Hyper-Thief's hideout. There the Atom learns that the Hyper-Thief is not quite as crafty as once thought, after defeating the crook the Atom learns that the crook works for a safe making company and rigged all the safes with a false bottom which would allow him to give the illusion that the loot was transported somewhere else so that he can go back and steal it at a later date.
