History
Frederick DeLamb's father was installed as a puppet ruler of Markovia by the Nazis during World War II. When the Markov family reclaimed the throne, the DeLambs fled.
Years later, Frederick DeLamb, taking the name Baron Bedlam, murdered King Viktor, and seized the throne. He was defeated by the crown prince, Brion Markov, who became Geo-Force specifically to battle this threat to his country. Brion was aided by other heroes, leading to the creation of the Outsiders.
Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985-86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- The name Baron Bedlam has recently been taken by another DC super-villain, formerly known as Doctor Bedlam.
Trivia
- The word "Bedlam" is an anagram of Frederick's last name, DeLamb.
