History

Barry Allen used his superspeed as the Flash, a member of the Justice League of America. Five years after the League's formation, they had wiped out evil from the face of the Earth, and Barry, like every other member save Batman, hung up his costume.^[1]

While attending a Christmas party hosted by Ray Palmer, Barry was killed trying to defend his friend from a Monitor.^[2]
