Synopsis for "Interference"

Inside the Szavpost Estate, an old abandoned mansion, Batgirl follows a bodiless voice into a room where several people sit in a circle around an empty chamber attempting to summon Hooq back from destruction.[1] From a hole in the ceiling she drops onto one of the "Children of Hooq" and proceeds to beat them up. Disturbing her, however, is a large explosion as the wall break inwards and the new Batman leaps into the room.

After all of the cultist had been pacified Batman then turns to Barbara to take her in. She escapes as the Batman is distracted and she rushes home to tell Frankie Charles. A knock on the door announces James Gordon's arrival - with coffee in tow - and the girls rush out to find the new clean-shaven Jim.

The father and daughter go for a walk through the park and reminisce about how Jim would do the same whenever he needed to butter Barbara up. They sit on a carousel and Jim tells her that he is the new Batman.[2] Whilst, unbeknownst to them, inside the chamber left by the Children of Hooq an electric blue figure is materialising and a blackout sweeps through the city, interrupting Francine's arcade game.

From outside the arcade an explosion leads Barbara to don her costume and, upon seeing the spectral woman, remembers a time when Batman (Bruce Wayne) first caught her with an energy containment trap. Unfortunately, saying this allows Livewire to remember her villainous legacy.

Just as Livewire goes to electrocute Barbara she is shunted out of the way by Francine who burns her shoulder in the process. Before Barbara can react, the bat-signal shines down and Batman leaps from his air-base, scaring off Livewire. After reporting her escape and ordering an alert for Livewire, he turns to Barbara and informs her that she is under arrest.
