Synopsis for "Some Enchanted Evening"
After stopping a would-be thief as Batman, Bruce Wayne attends a costume party campaign fund raiser for gubernatorial prospect, Evan Gregory. Bruce supports Gregory's platform, because he has committed himself towards eradicating the Thorne crime cartel. At the party, Bruce runs into an old flame – Silver St. Cloud. He discovers that Silver is engaged to marry Evan Gregory. His mind falls back to earlier times when Silver was passionately in love with Bruce's alter ego, the Batman.
During the party, a strangely garbed party guest grabs the microphone and begins babbling incessantly on stage. He removes his costume to reveal himself as the Joker. The Joker demands that everyone in the room vote for him at the upcoming election or else he will kill them all. He approaches Evan Gregory and electrocutes him with his patented joy buzzer. Silver races to his side, but Gregory is merely stunned. Bruce sneaks away and changes into Batman.
Batman chases the Joker out of the ballroom and the two fight each other in an elevator. The Joker has a remote control, which controls the car, and Batman latches onto the cable line as the car begins descending. The Joker offers Batman a position on his political staff, but Batman naturally refuses. Despite the confined spaces, the Joker miraculously succeeds in eluding Batman's grasp and escapes from the elevator car. Batman returns to the ballroom to check on Evan Gregory.
Meanwhile across town, Two-Face learns of the Joker's scheme to take control of the governor race and vows to kill the Joker.
