History

In the past, a cadre of occultists attempt to summon Barbathos, the Bat-demon.

In the present, Batman returns from a night of crime-fighting to discover no evidence of a Batcave and an Alfred who cannot remember it either. Fearing for his sanity, he goes out to investigate.

Eventually it is revealed that the Riddler has discovered an account of the occultists and is attempting to drive Batman mad as part of a plan to complete their saifice and recieve the reward of the Bat-demon.
