Batman: Gotham Adventures #11 is an issue of the series Batman: Gotham Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of April, 1999.

Synopsis for "The Oldest One in the Book!"

The Riddler blackmails Charles Baxter into letting him stay at his new Egyptian hotel and declares that he is only planning clues this time.

Commissioner Gordon receives a riddle from the Riddler, which he shows to Batman and Nightwing. The pair track and take down some criminals, but there is no sign of the Riddler. A few days later, another clue is sent which leads to another criminal, and Batman starts to make sense of the game Riddler is playing. A third message results in Batman catching a major felon, as well as solving the hidden riddle.

At the hotel, Batman and Nightwing show up, much to Riddler's disbelief. Batman tells him how he solved the riddle, which apparently was the oldest one in the book. Finally, the Riddler admits he left the clues, even though he didn't want to, and heads to Arkham Asylum because he might be crazy after all.
