Synopsis for "Hot House, Part Two"

Pamela Isley's testimony is enough to convict Dominique on the charge of drug distribution, but not the murder of Ian Spencer. Batman, now more infatuated with Isley than ever, remains determined to prove Dominique guilty of Spencer's murder, and becomes enraged when Captain Gordon suggests that Isley may still possess her "Poison Ivy" pheromones, citing how a few seconds around Isley had made him forget his own wife's name.

To secure proof of Isley's innocence and Dominique's guilt, Batman travels to the city morgue to get first-hand information on Spencer's autopsy. The mortician, however, tells him that Ian Spencer's corpse contains not only large amounts of Edenspring, but also fungal poison - enough to have killed Spencer regardless of his suicide jump. Batman is disturbed by this news, but only when he fights a young female thief and sees "Pamela's" face does he admit that he must be under the influence of Poison Ivy's pheromones.

Realizing that Ivy had been lying all along while actually trying to market Edenspring herself, Batman prepares to apprehend her. To this end, he finds an old colleague from Ivy's university days, who creates a salve that will counteract Ivy's pheromones. After applying the salve, Batman confronts Ivy in her greenhouse. Upon finding her pheromones useless, Ivy angrily confesses to killing Spencer, and orders Dominique's bodyguard Victor (whom she had drugged earlier) to kill Batman.

Batman defeats Victor after a long struggle, but the salve is wiped off in the fight, leaving him vulnerable to a kiss from Ivy. Now completely deranged, Ivy thinks herself "Titania, Queen of the May", and Batman her Oberon - as Batman struggles with the hallucinations induced by the kiss, she pins him down and prepares to unmask him. With his last burst of strength, Batman kicks the greenhouse's sprinklers on, washing away Ivy's pheromones. The sobered Batman chases an increasingly desperate Ivy onto the greenhouse's catwalks, where he barely manages to save Ivy from falling to her death.

Subsequently, Ivy is returned to Arkham Asylum, her twisted love for Batman stronger than ever.
