Synopsis for "The Message"
A man called Jason Braun began hearing voices after a bat bit him. The bat got inside his house after the earthquake and Jason was determined to leave Gotham City when the United States Government declared it No Man's Land. However, when he tried to leave, the voice in his head told him not to go.
The voice in Jason's head was Gotham talking to him. The city told him to deliver a message before midnight, when they bridges were going to be taken down. The voice guided Jason to Oracle and asked her for the city's guardian angel. Before leaving, Jason told Oracle that the city had a message for her; that she has served the city in that way more than ever before.
On his way to the guardian angel, Jason came across Penguin and his thugs. They tried to steal from Jason but the man ran away. A couple of Penguin's thugs followed him to Robinson Park. In the park, Jason stumbled with some branches and the thugs were about to catch him, when out of nowhere, Poison Ivy appeared and killed the Penguin's henchmen. Jason saw the magnificent figure of Ivy and before she could harm him, he left the park.
Jason was feeling bad and his vision turned all blurry. He arrived at the courthouse as Oracle told him. Two-Face reached Jason and asked him what he was doing. Jason told him that he was looking for the cemetery near the courthouse. Two-Face took the man to the cemetery and Jason finally found the crouching angel statue in the cemetery. He went to it but his condition worsened. Two-Face tossed his coin and was about to kill Jason when Huntress appeared and stopped him. Jason reached the angel but he was in a terrible state. Huntress approached Jason to see if he was alright but Jason saw Batman instead of Huntress. The voice in Jason's head then told him that the city needed him and that he must not leave yet. Jason spoke those words to Huntress who got the message. After a while, Huntress asked Jason if he was bitten by an animal and Jason remembered the bat. Jason died but instead of leaving the city, his spirit joined the guardian angels of the city: thousands of shining bats.

Synopsis for "No Man's Land: The Animated Series"
Batman and Batgirl spotted a suspicious man with a violin case in No Man's Land. The man was walking alone when he came across some street gangs. They tried to steal whatever was inside the case, but when the man opened it, there was just a violin. The thugs asked him to play some music for them and they were all delighted to listen to real music in such a long time. Batman and Batgirl were left speechless.
Suddenly, a woman turned off the TV and told her son to go out and exercise. The kid said that he would rather practice the piano. The mother was so surprised that she said that she would have expected Metropolis to become a No Man's Land instead of listening to her son speaking that way.
