Notes[]

  • Some sources split the episodes of the series into two seasons, while others group them into four seasons.
    • Those with two seasons reflect the number of shows Fox ordered in each of two batches, the 65 that first aired from 1992 to 1993 and 20 that first aired (under the title The Adventures of Batman and Robin) from 1994 to 1995.
    • Those with four seasons used US air dates and the US implied definition of "season". At the time the show aired, 1992-1996, a "season" normally ran from September to May. Those lists that designate four seasons count the first new episode in or after September as the start of a new season: the first with 60 episodes, the second and third with 10 episodes each, and the fourth with 5 episodes.
    • This Wiki uses the two season model.
  • Per several producers and creatives, the series was only ever referred to as "Batman" in development. Its "official" name of Batman: The Animated Series first appeared in advertising spots on Fox Kids, and was quickly adopted by tie-in toys and novelizations.
