Synopsis for "Not Yet, He Ain't"
Picking up from the last episode, Batman and Robin recover just in time to use the bullet proof solves of their shoes to prevent the bullets from penetrating their hearts. Penguin, unaware of this, give the suspicious Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara their checks. When he goes back to check on the corpses, he initially assumes that they have evaporated, but Dove tells him otherwise. "Now we'll have to fight another round!" Penguin growls.
Back at the Batcave, Robin feels they should have arrested Penguin for attempted murder, but Batman says otherwise, considering he legally rented the amusement park and that Gordon and O'Hara fired the guns. But of course, there is at least some hope left as Batman has a trump card up his sleeve.
The next morning, Penguin and Sophia arrive at Commissioner Gordon's office, demanding police protection. Taunting that Gordon cannot find the Dynamic Duo, Penguin tries to call them himself on the bat-phone, but Gordon is able to take control of the phone, instructing Batman to turn himself in the burglary charge.
Crazed with anger, or at least pretending to be, Batman and Robin fight Penguin and his henchmen right inside the agency office, but are forced to leave when the police show up. Two cars block the Batmobile, so they have to hoof it on foot. They make their way into an alley…and are shot dead by two officers. Penguin, feeling victorious, steals the Batmobile as none of the officers are looking.
Later on, Gordon gives a press conference in his office, intending to have Batman and Robin buried with honor, as their past deeds can never make up their current assumption that they went crazy. Aunt Harriet and Alfred are watching the news as well and are beside themselves, doubting that even Bruce and Dick will console them. However, as the conference ends, Chief O’Hara comes up telling Gordon that 200 rounds of blank ammunition were used in the gunfight and it is also revealed that Batman and Robin are still alive, watching Penguin and Sophia going out for a ride in the Batmobile, now rechristened "Birdmobile". There is even another holdup that Batman correctly surmises was also staged by Penguin ("Holy Romeo and Juliet!" cries Robin).
Sophia agrees to marry Penguin and a wedding is held the next day. A large assortment of presents are displayed on a table. With Eagle-Eye and Dove, as groomsmen, listing them off. Thanks to a bomb they set up, the water pipes explode and water pours in from the roof. Sophia, unaware of the mishap, cheerfully greets her guests, Gordon and O'Hara included to an "indoor wedding in the rain". Umbrellas are distributed to all. With one click of a button, Penguin uses his usual tactic of having them go haywire, freaking the guests out and distracting them long enough for the table carrying the wedding presets to slide into the wall. When Gordon and O'Hara notice, they begin to realize Penguin's intentions, but he gasses them and hastily departs for a secret hideaway via Batmobile, taking the wedding presents with them in the trunk.
With the wedding presents stolen and Sophia left standing at the altar, Batman and Robin take off after Penguin in the Batcycle. In the open countryside, they eject Eagle-Eye and Dove from the car, annoy Penguin with the doors opening and closing and steer the car out of his control, bringing them back to the Dynamic Duo. Penguin and his henchmen are defeated, but Batman has one problem left. The Batmobile will have to be fumigated.
In the end, the wedding gifts have been recovered and are on display in Commissioner Gordon's office, but Sophia still believes that she can reform Penguin. When he is brought in, Penguin is too blinded by his own greed to take heed of Sophia's words, demanding to be taken to prison.
