Synopsis for "The Yegg Foes in Gotham"

Picking up from the previous episode, Dick manages to reach the brain transferring machine's powerswitch and raises it from 110 to 220 currents, causing the machine to overload and explode. Egghead, having gained at least some of Bruce’s intelligence, leaves behind a radar egg that will explode if anyone gets too close to it. He and his minions retreat. Bruce and Dick manage to get Tim and Pete to safety and Bruce even uses his marble skills with a grape to destroy the radar.

They arrive at City Hall by 12:03 with the pelts. Too late for them, as Chief Screaming Chicken announces that Gotham City is now back under his ownership. The next morning in Commissioner Gordon’s office, Batman, Robin and Mayor Linseed discuss how to get back at Egghead when the evil genius comes to announce that the Gotham City chapter is back in it’s case and fires Gordon and Linseed, declaring himself as police Comissioner. He also has Batman and Robin barred from the Gotham City limits, warning them that they will be executed if seen again. Robin and Batman bid Gotham City a solemn goodbye and leave, but Egghead remains smug and confident that he and his henchmen have not seen the last of the Dynamic Duo.

Batman and Robin return to the Batcave, convinced that the city charter may have an overlooked clause and to do it, they have to steal it under their true identities. Meanwhile, Egghead and the other criminals of Gotham have turned the city into their own personal fiefdom, detaining citizens for petty misdemeanors such as jaywalking, not fastening their seatbelts and not properly throwing away trash. At the museum, Bruce and Dick steal the charter, and return to the Batcave to examine it for any overlooked clauses. They eventually find one: Ownership of Gotham City can not be given to anyone who has committed a crime against the state or the territory. Batman and Robin race back to police headquarters to tell Gordon and the mayor just as Egghead and his allies steal the treasury.

Once Gordon and Lindseed are restored to power, Batman and Robin head to the treasury where they find an empty vault, and a bound Chief Screaming Chicken, who rebukes Egghead as a “very bad hombre.” The chief informs Batman and Robin that Egghead plans to make his getaway to South America, but not before replenishing his stock of eggs, as he has a very voracious appetite.

The Dynamic Duo eventually deduce that Egghead has gone to Old MacDonald’s Chicken Farm . There a fight breaks out and with Miss Bacon’s permission, Egghead has decided to end his book with “I guess I laid an egg”.
