Synopsis for "Smells Like Black Sunday"

Mastermind enlists his old partners, Mr. Nice and the Perfesser, on a scheme to seize nuclear warheads from nearby Fort Briggs. To ensure success, Mastermind forces Mr. Nice to forego his normally compassionate personality for twenty-four hours, an order which Nice obeys with some difficulty.

While Mr. Nice invades Fort Briggs, Mastermind and Perfesser lead Batman on a wild goose chase around Gotham City. When Batman finally catches the pair, Mastermind gloats that he is too late to stop Mr. Nice from securing the warheads; no vehicle on Earth can cover the distance to the fort in time.

By phone, Batman orchestrates the ultimate defense against Mr. Nice: a single puppy, placed in front of the warheads' vault. Nice, despite successfully suppressing his distaste for violence, still cannot bring himself to harm such an adorable creature, and is forced to surrender.

Upon returning the state penitentiary, Mastermind immediately concocts another scheme, but is quickly abandoned by his partners.
