Synopsis for "Shadow Box, Part Three"

The dead robin that Lynx sent Commissioner Gordon is revealed to be stuffed full of jewels associated with Asia, which Batman correctly interprets as a sign that King Snake wants a personal showdown. The battleground is to be the HMS Pacific Jewel, a container ship currently berthed in Gotham Harbor. Batman, realizing how deep King Snake's vendetta against Robin goes, accepts the challenge.

Meanwhile, Tim attempts to remain out of action, but accidentally discovers Batman's plans to confront King Snake. Unwilling to let his mentor face King Snake alone, Tim dons his Robin uniform (over Alfred's protests) and travels to the harbor as well. There, Batman is already engaging King Snake in single combat on the Pacific Jewel. Though King Snake fights viciously, Batman quickly gains the upper hand, as his night-vision goggles make King Snake's darkness-based fighting style useless.

Batman eventually subdues King Snake, but quickly finds himself targeted by Lynx, who stands ready to snipe him with Teflon-coated bullets. Robin arrives in time to stop Lynx from pulling the trigger, but is unable to prevent her - and the rest of the Ghost Dragons - from escaping. A furious Batman scolds Robin for disobeying his orders, before leaving Robin alone to reflect on his decisions.
