Synopsis for "Sweat of the Sun, Tears of the Moon"

Batman investigates a crime wave related with ancient Inca artifacts. His investigation leads him to a pawn shop where a transaction of stolen Inca relics was beign held. He entered the pawn shop and neutralized most of the crooks including the shop owner. One of the thugs got possesed by some spirit that forced the man to kill himself. Batman couldn't stop him and the man's last words were: "Death...to the Defilers of Amaru". Batman tied up the thugs and called the police.

A few moments later, two more thugs outside the pawn shop planned to break and enter from the back door of the place but there was a third man ready to shoot both thieves. Deadman witnessed the scene and possesed the third's man body to prevent him from killing the other two; but as he did this the thieves realized of the man's presence and shot him. One of the thieves recognized the man as a past fellow thief and remembered that he used to have a map of some kind with him. When the couple of thieves were about to search the man, Deadman who was in control of the body, grabbed them and they run scared of the "living dead". At that moment the GCPD arrived at the scene and they apprehended the two thieves and they checked the inside of the pawn shop.

Batman answered the batsignal call and discussed the Inca connection crimes with Commissioner Gordon. Meanwhile, Deadman noticed that the man he possessed was still alive but just barely. He felt guilty for the man's life so he possessed the body again and took him to a hospital but it was too late. Deadman then decided that he needed the body so he can interact with other people and he possessed the body and went to seek Batman.

Batman was in the batcave pondering about the Inca connection when Deadman manifested himself physically with great effort and briefly explained Batman what happened. Batman then allowed Deadman in the batcave using the dead man's body. They realized that they were after the same criminals and that they might need to work together. Batman checked the dead man's body and found the map as a tattoo in the man's back. It was a map of Peru showing a specific location. Batman and Deadman decided to travel to Peru.

Meanwhile in Peru, a gangster named Killeen was stealing all the silver and gold relics from an Inca settlement near Machu Picchu. Killeen was the mastermind behind the crimes and was using the Incas as slaves to carry the relics. He was planning to kill them all when they were of no use to him.
