Synopsis for "Dick Grayson's Nightmare!"

Bruce Wayne arranges to have Wayne Manor redecorated while he is participating in a murder trial in Chicago, leaving Robin to operate out of a nearby cabin belonging to a vacationing mystery writer named Freddy Hobbs. He encounters a mysterious woman who asks for his help and gives him an envelope containing thousands of dollars, but the money subsequently disappears, and when he (as Dick Grayson) tells Commissioner Gordon about this and other mysterious occurrences he is laughed out of police headquarters.

He soon discovers that the strange events have been the work of a gang of thieves who are planning on robbing a nearby warehouse and wanted to cause him to discredit himself in front of the police. As such, he is forced to take them on by himself, as Robin.

Synopsis for "The Machines of Menace!"

A series of robberies committed in Gotham City by fantastic machines prompts Batman and Robin to follow one out to sea, where they are brought down near a mysterious island, then captured by an automated fishing device. They learn that this is the headquarters of inventive genius Eric Golar, whose dreams of creating a fully automated city were dashed when a thug named Nero Thompson took control of his devices and imprisoned him. Escaping, the Caped Crusaders make short work of Nero and his goons.
