Overwhelmed by fan mail, Batman is forced to hire a secretary to handle all of it. The lady, however has a crush on Batman and in order to make her temporal job as Batman's secretary permanent, she unwittingly, causes the volume of mail to increase, thus hampering the Caped Crusader's war on crime. Among the fan mail is an apparently innocent autograph request, but when Batman complies, the autograph is delivered to a forger, who is planning to uncover Batman's true identity using his signature. As Batman has done in the past, he manages to avoid detection as he always signs with different hands as Bruce Wayne and Batman, puzzling the forger before his capture.

Batman, Robin and his secretary finish answering the waves of fan mail and the Dynamic Duo send a message to the world to stop sending them fan mail.

After the dog helps them take down escaped con Bert Bowers, who calls him “Bat-Hound”, the Dynamic Duo accept that as a working name for their new pet. Bat-Hound helps Batman and Robin track down his owner, John Wilker, an engraver held captive by counterfeiters. They learn that Bat-Hound’s real name is Ace and after the case is closed, they take him back to his rightful owner.
