Synopsis for "Blood Sisters"
Beth Kane has to kill her sister, though she doesn't want to give up on her, when it was Kate who never once gave up on her. Kate, in her role as Batwoman, has changed into a vampire. Now Beth, recently christened as the vigilante Alice, has been forced to hunt her.
Downtown, Harvey Bullock notes with concern that Maggie Sawyer is looking pretty rough. Her sarcastic retort is cut short by a swarm of low-flying bats screeching past them, forcing her to tackle Harvey to the ground for his own safety. Nervously, she looks up, just as Batwoman crashes down on the hood of her car, and warns that it is time for Maggie Sawyer to die. She grabs Maggie up and flies high above the city before deciding that her victim is not worth sullying her lips, dropping her. Hurriedly, Beth swings down to catch Maggie in mid-air, just as Kate severs her cord. In response, Beth fires a grappling hook into Kate's arm, and uses her to hold them up before they crash down on the ground - alive, at least.
As Batwoman returns for revenge, Beth tosses a dirty rag into her sister's face and reminds her of their mutual friend Rory, to whom that rag had belonged. With difficulty, Kate tears the rag from her face, and drags Beth into the air. In response, Beth sticks a hunk of clay to Kate's leg, and let's go, tumbling down onto a nearby roof.
As Batwoman tries to rip the clay off, it morphs into Clayface, who acts as a distraction while nearby Jason Blood attempts to recite the chant that will transform him into the demon Etrigan. Unfortunately, Batwoman escape's Clayface just long enough to tear out Jason's throat with her teeth before he can complete the incantation. Kate then turns on Clayface, and breathes fire to harden him into an immovable solid, smashing him on the floor.
Seeing her allies falling, Beth realizes that she needs to stop pulling her punches or all of their deaths will mean nothing. Batwoman calls her bats to attack her sister, and Beth counteracts them using a device given to her by the Batman. The device causes the bat swarm to dissipate, and Batwoman herself loses control of her flight, and crashes, allowing Beth to trap her in a net. She thinks back on their childhood, and how innocent they once were. It was only a short time ago that Kate had approached her to join her band of supernatural heroes.
From within the net, Beth hears Kate's real voice, begging her for help. She claims that she wasn't in control of herself when she did all the awful things she did - just like Beth hadn't known what she was doing when she was Alice. She promises to atone, when she is freed. Reluctantly, Beth begins removing the net, and as she embraces her sister, she warns that she's not the only one who can fake emotions. She thrusts a stake through Kate's heart, and watches with tears welling in her eyes as her sister's body disintegrates into dust.
