"Bibbo" Bibbowski is Superman's biggest fan. The dock-worker and former heavyweight world champion was the proprietor of the Ace O'Clubs in the Hob's Bay part of Suicide Slum.

History

"Bibbo" Bibbowski met Superman when he was looking for information in a Suicide Slum bar called the Ace O'Clubs. Bibbo, thinking this was "some clown in a Superman suit" punched Superman, and damaged his hand. He gained respect for the Man of Steel because "yer tough". He would later refer to Superman as his "fav'rit".

Bibbo was a longshoreman and former boxer, and he was well-meaning but not too bright. His admiration for Superman seemingly remained based on physical strength, briefly being transferred to Lobo when the Czarnian appeared tougher.

He found a winning lottery ticket that belonged to Jose Delgado, with a whopping 14 million dollars of win, he used the money to buy the Ace O'Clubs and help those living in the Slum.

During Christmas, Bibbo dressed as Santa Claus for orphan children, handing out presents with the aid of Superman, he even helped an at the time, homeless Jimmy Olsen to reconcile with his mother

Bibbo briefly created an alternative identity for himself after Superman's death. He temporarily named himself Superdood in hopes of helping fight crime while Superman was away.

While working at the Aco O'Clubs, Bibbo was offered a chance to compete for world heavyweight champion title by his former promoter Mick Cordon. Bibbo was set to fight "Iron Dave" but he backed off because of a winning lottery ticket, so instead, he fought Hunya "Killer" Adams, after a long and hard fight, Bibbo won. Months later, Hunya Adams offered a rematch, but Bibbo triumphed a second time, but to the shock of everyone, he decided to give up his world champion title because he felt unworthy after punching Jimmy Olsen a couple of days before, believing fists are lethal weapons, and as such, they should be used responsibly.

Professor Bibbowski was Bibbo's pacifistic scientist brother.

• Boxing: Bibbo Bibbowski was once a professional boxer and as such he can more than handle himself in a fight. Bibbo usually employs his boxing talents breaking up barroom brawls at the Ace O'Clubs.

Bibbo rides a blue Charlie Davidson motorcycle with matching sidecar. Like most of Bibbo's decor, the motorcycle is decorated with various Superman decals.

Trivia

• Spelling does not appear to be one of Bibbo's strong points, as in the graphic novel Superman: The Wedding & Beyond, he spells out the word 'private' (as in "private party") to Meat of the Flamin' Skulls motorcycle gang as "P-R-I-V-I-T-T".
