Blackhawk #254 is an issue of the series Blackhawk (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1983.

Synopsis for "What Price Courage?"

(day-1) : A U-boat surfaces off West Dieppe France and shells the town. The Blackhawks are dropped into the coastal waters, with frogman suits and UDT gear, and blow up the sub. On (day-2), Hinrichten agent Domino meets with Hitler in Berlin, where a new scheme is hatched. Meanwhile in France, elements of the 2nd Panzer division are attacked by the Blackhawk squadron. On (day-3), Blackhawk flies solo to Berne Switzerland, seeking Prof. Merson, but instead steps into a trap. This time Domino catches him at gunpoint, no K.O., and chains him onto the front of a panzer, and then broadcasts a call for the Blackhawks to come to Switzerland and get him. So they do, and in the ensuing shoot-out, Olaf plays a bazooka trick on the plainclothes German infantry (they are in neutral Switzerland, hence the civvies), and the Blackhawks win.

Synopsis for Detached Service Diary, Chuck: "The Crazy House"

Enroute from Dinant to Blackhawk Island, Chuck spots Nordling's distinctive Messerschmitt, parked beside an abandoned manor house. Nordling is Hitler's personal courier. Chuck lands, enters the house, has a shoot-out with Nordling, loses, and gets rescued by the Blackhawks, who capture Nordling, who now is quite disaffected with Nazism and everybody in it, but also is insane.
