Bloodthirst is a monstrous demon who claims to have existed for thousands of years, and likes to create chaos, conflict and destruction. In his first appearance in Metropolis, Bloodthirst orchestrated a horrible massacre in major locations, using Bloodsport and Hi-Tech as killer agents. Superman stopped them and fought an arduous battle with Bloodthirst. After his defeat, Bloodthirst fled, satisfied with the massacre and his fight with Superman, which to him was nothing more than an exercise.
