Synopsis for "A Traitor Lurks Inside Earth!"
When the missile defense robot John Doe begins acting against orders, Batman recruits the aid of the Metal Men to try and find out what is going on. However, when the Metal Men appear on national television denouncing humanity and calling for robot liberation on behalf of John Doe, Batman goes to investigate in person.
Inside the missile base, Batman learns that the Metal Men haven't truly betrayed humanity but are being forced to speak on John Doe's behalf because it has Tin held captive.
Freeing Tin and battling John Doe, the group destroy its primary memory banks, forcing the machine to use its back up based on its creators mind. However, because its creator believed John Doe should be destroyed, the machine ironically destroys itself.
