Synopsis for Batman and Black Canary: "Requiem for 4 Canaries!"
During a massive breakout at the Gotham State Penitentiary, the Gotham City Police Department and Batman work to capture all the fugitives, but they are unable to find the most important among them: The Penguin. Knowing that Penguin is most likely to follow his former henchmen to Star City, Batman gets on his way to the city.
True to Batman's prediction, Penguin shows up in Star City, where he starts his revenge against four former henchmen who defected from his leadership while he was in prison. Penguin is using a canary theme vendetta, as he suspects his former associates have ratted him out to the authorities. When Penguin kills his first victim, he is spotted by Dinah Lance, who quickly changes into Black Canary and gives chase to the crooked criminal from Gotham. Unfortunately, Canary is outnumbered by Penguin's thugs and she is saved by Batman.
Working together, Batman and Canary start looking for information about the possible whereabouts of the Penguin's former henchmen, but they fail to save the second victim, as they arrive too late at the scene. The heroes decide to split in order to save at least one of the Penguin's victims, but knowing that the heroes are already on his tail, Penguin changes his plans and decides to eliminate Batman instead.
While Batman is keeping a close eye on one of the victims, he is suddenly approached by Canary, who behaves in an odd manner, arising Batman's suspicion. When the lady tries to kiss Batman, he realizes the truth and ties the woman to a post before going to Penguin's hideout, where the criminal has captured the real Black Canary and stripped her of her clothes in order to disguise the imposter that tried to dose Batman with poison. Batman makes short work of Penguin's henchmen, leaving only their leader standing. Penguin attempts to use one of his trademark gun umbrellas, but Canary distracts Penguin long enough for Batman to beat him to a pulp. Once Penguin and his gang are completely defeated, Batman unties Canary and covers her body with his own cape, after which Canary gives Batman a well deserved kiss for his heroic and chivalrous manner.
