  The DC Universe heavily changed its continuity into the DCnU following the events of Flashpoint in 2011. This was part of an effort to make storylines more accessible to newer readers, beginning with the New 52. This new timeline combines elements from the DCU, Vertigo Universe and Wildstorm Universe while drastically changing the origins and histories of characters. |
Brighteyes was one of the metahumans captured by N.O.W.H.E.R.E. and taken to the facility named the Colony. After the Teen Titans and Legionnaires defeated Harvest in battle, Brighteyes along with fellow captives Beast Boy, Terra, Thunder, Lightning, Ridge , Windshear and Caitlin Fairchild escaped the Colony to the arctic wasteland above.
Instead of staying with the group she joined up with Windshear and took off on their own. It wasn't long before the two N.O.W.H.E.R.E. agents Rose Wilson and Warblade caught up with them. Windshear tossed Brighteyes between him and the N.O.W.H.E.R.E. ship in hopes of helping his own escape, but was captured by Wilson only moments later. Along with Windshear, Brighteyes was then taken back to the Colony by Wilson and Warblade.
