Bug-Eyed Bandit is a super-villain and enemy to the Atom. Having developed an invention that controls insects, he commits crimes motivated by personal gain. Eventually he was killed by Shadow Demons during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. His son Bertram Larvan, Jr. later becomes his successor. Larvan is later seen as a member of the undead Black Lantern Corps and his son belongs to the Secret Society of Super-Villains. Bug-Eyed Bandit was created by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane, first appearing in Atom #26. (1966)
